Director, Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development DePaul Real Estate Alumni Alliance DePaul University Advancement and The Real Estate Center at DePaul University Event Details:
“Politics and Chicago Real Estate: Competing Interest for the Common Good” was moderated by Joseph Schwieterman, Ph.D, director, Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development, with panel members Lee Golub, executive vice president of Golub and Company, and Brian Bernardoni, director of government affairs for the Chicago Association of Realtors. The three industry insiders talked in-depth about their unique professional experiences, and what it takes to do deals in the midst of Chicago’s politically-charged atmosphere. While their perspectives were different, one common theme emerged: real estate deals only get done with full cooperation of the community, the alderman and the developer….sounds easy, right?!
