Jennifer Zellner, Co-President MBA – Real Estate Finance & Investment 2005 BS – Accounting 1994 Ms. Zellner is the asset manager for McCaffery Interests, Inc., a Chicago-based real estate development and investment company, where she manages the firm’s national retail portfolio. Prior to joining McCaffery Interests, Jennifer was a partner in P&W Partners, a company she started in 2004, which purchased, managed and continues to own distressed retail and warehouse properties and vacant land in Chicago’s south side neighborhoods. Jennifer received a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from DePaul and began her career at Arthur Andersen where she focused on the construction, printing, consumer products and healthcare industries. Before starting P&W Partners in 2004, Jennifer was a manager of finance and foundation operations at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Foundation in Chicago. Iosef "Joe" Demin, Co-President BS – Finance: Real Estate Concentration 2006 Mr. Demin serves as a Senior Associate in the Tax Credit Investment Advisory Services group at Ernst & Young, based in the Boston office. In this capacity, Mr. Demin advises institutional investors that work to redirect capital to alternative energy production and community redevelopment. Mr. Demin was previously a Due Diligence Analyst at DBSI where he was responsible for underwriting real estate acquisitions for syndication into a securitized sales channel. Prior to DBSI, he was a Development Analyst at Joseph Freed and Associates where has was involved in the development of over 1.5 million square feet of office, residential, entertainment, hotel, and retail properties, with a total construction cost exceeding $1 billion. Matt Tramel, Communications Director MBA – Real Estate Finance & Investment 2006 Mr. Tramel is currently Director of Media Relations at the Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. From November 2000 to March 2008, he was the Manager of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at CenterPoint Properties Trust. From 1998 to 2000 he was an Account Executive at Gibbs & Soell Public Relations. Mr. Tramel is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). As a founding member of DREAA, Matt has been actively involved in the group’s early planning and development, working to align its communications efforts with DePaul University ’s Real Estate Center. Kathryn Gale, Events MBA – Real Estate Finance & Investment 2007 Ms. Gale is the Senior Compliance Analyst with the Direct Affordable Housing Group at JPMorgan Capital Corporation. Ms. Gale is responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance during the 15-year affordability period for Section 42 Tax Credit Housing Investments. Section 42 investments provide private equity to low income housing projects in exchange for federal tax credits. She currently holds designations as a HCCP and a C7P. Prior to joining the Direct Affordable Housing Group, Ms. Gale was a personal banker with Bank One. Chris Leggee, University Liaison BS – Real Estate Finance & Investment 2006 Mr. Leggee joined NorthMarq Capital as part of the acquisition of Baird & Warner Real Estate Capital in January 2007. He originally joined Baird & Warner in February 2006. He serves as a Senior Investment Analyst within the commercial underwriting business; working with producers to secure financing on transactions in the areas of industrial, retail, office, and multi-family projects. Chris is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, Young Real Estate Professionals, The DePaul Real Estate Alumni Alliance, and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Matthew Schneider, Governance & Operations BS – Finance Honors, Real Estate Finance & Investment 2007 Mr. Schneider is an Investment Properties Associate with The Mark Hellwig Team at Marcus & Millichap, responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing office and industrial transactions throughout Midwest. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, he served as an Analyst with the Capital Markets Group at Cohen Financial, where he structured debt financing for office, industrial, and retail properties throughout the nation. Mr. Schneider is also on the steering committee of Young Real Estate Professionals, remains involved in leadership of DePaul’s student-run Real Estate Organization, and is a member of the US Green Building Council and the Urban Land Institute.
